A one day workshop with Lucinda Drayton . Mindfulness the Doorway to Sustainable Change .
June 26 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
£60
To become mindful is to become aware of what I am thinking feeling and doing. To become the observer of myself.
Its been described as paying attention on purpose
This is a skill I can learn and practice and this skill offers me the potential for immense change.
Some of the by-products of mindfulness have been shown in research studies to be:
A Lowering of blood pressure
Alleviating depression and anxiety
Accelerating healing
Increasing focus
Pain relief
Increased choices
Improving relationships
A stronger sense of self
For me mindfulness offers me the chance to really see the way I show up in the world and take responsibility for my actions.
If I can then learn to foster an attitude of compassion and kind judgement as I grow. The potential for
positive change is immense.
I cannot strive to change what I do not yet see or accept, so mindfulness can open my eyes to these blind spots.
What the day will consist of
We will spend the time learning some tools to begin a more mindful way of life.
We will then explore the practice of sitting mindfully and you will leave with some simple exercises to take back with you to your own life
