Finding Peace in The Storm. Workshop Cambridge
September 8 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm£55.00
There is a guarantee that life will challenge us. Perhaps physically or emotionally, materially or spiritually. But it will challenge us.
Sometimes we know how we should be dealing with the crisis or challenge. We may already know the personal qualities and behaviour the situation requires, we might even be so clear we have all the answers and see the way out. Perhaps we need to be patient, or maybe we are required to stand up and create a clear boundary. Even to walk away or let go. Maybe we are being asked to trust, to have faith.
Thus I may be really clear on what is required and yet I can’t do it ! I am in turmoil, I go round and round the same old story. I rail against the situation exclaiming why or why me ? or just a plain old NO this is not happening. It can’t happen!!
This is a very painful place to be. The rational side of me knows what to do yet the irrational side seems to want to sabotage all my efforts.
What is the solution ?
The question is , Can I find peace even here in this place? Can I allow myself to live quietly in this ambivalent position. Acknowledging the gap between where I’d like to be and where I actually am.
This workshop is a one day exploration of finding peace in every storm
We will use group work, teaching, drama and discussion to deepen our understanding of how to navigate this place.
We will create a place where you can feel safe to explore and have fun . Nobody has to do anything they feel uncomfortable with and you can come alone knowing you will be met by some really lovely people. Abington Barns is a wonderful community of caring people so take a step of courage. Wear comfy clothes and bring a blanket/ yoga mat if you wish to lie down and relax . In the afternoon Lucinda will conduct a live music and meditation session. PURE NURTURE.
Please bring a packed lunch as we are out in the countryside and there are no close places to buy lunch .
Lucinda is a BACP accredited counsellor and is also trained by REACH an amazing organisation dedicated to human freedom and wellness. Check their site to see the kinds of resources I have the honour to work with
